Enter start and finish times for each day and the unpaid break. You get the total hours, in hours and minutes and as a decimal, plus basic and overtime pay.
| Day | Start | Finish | Unpaid break (min) | Hours |
|---|
Enter the finish time as normal, for example 22:00 to 06:00. It is counted as an overnight shift of 8 hours.
How is overtime worked out?Hours over the weekly limit you set are paid at the overtime multiplier, for example 1.5 for time and a half. Hours up to the limit are paid at the basic rate.
Why show decimal hours?Payroll and invoices usually need decimal hours: 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.50 hours, not 7.30.
Is the pay before tax?Yes. The totals are gross pay before tax, National Insurance and pension.
